Introduction

Completed

Across the globe, K-12 institutions are increasingly adopting new technologies to facilitate learning and prepare students with future-ready skills. But along with this progress also comes the potential for increased cybersecurity risks. As more schools and districts find themselves the victims of malicious cyberattacks, K-12 educators, learning specialists, paraprofessionals, and school support staff play a key role in protecting themselves and their students.

This module emphasizes the importance of establishing strong cybersecurity practices in the classroom while building a culture of cyber awareness, vigilance, and preparedness with students. Following the recent key findings and recommendations of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), K-12 educators gain the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to develop and implement effective cybersecurity practices while safeguarding their students and classroom from the growing threat of cyberattacks.
