Support family access to learning content

Note

For conciseness, the word "guardian" refers to anyone responsible for the learner including parents, family members, and legal guardians.

Microsoft understands that the entire family is part of a learner’s educational success. Class teams offer the option of a weekly guardian email digest. The digest provides a concise summary of assignments, categorized by subject or class, and highlights the status of each assignment (submitted or not). The weekly email digest fosters robust communication and oversight between school and home.

Keep guardians in the loop with weekly guardian email digests. When email digests are turned on in the admin settings, guardian emails are sent each weekend, outlining assignments from the previous week and the upcoming one.

Additionally, educators can create guardian links for OneNote to let parents, guardians, or tutors review learners’ work in OneNote without permissions to modify it.
