Set up number series for jobs
For each company that is set up, you need to assign unique identification codes to jobs, job WIP numbers, and other documents. Numbering is important for identification. A well-designed numbering system also helps make the company more manageable and can reduce the number of errors that occur during data entry.
With project management in Business Central, both jobs and job WIP numbers use number series to uniquely identify each job and job WIP journal lines.
On the Numbering FastTab on the Jobs Setup page, you can assign number series for jobs and job WIP numbers that are used to assign numbers to job WIP documents.
