Exercise - Publish and install the extension

This exercise is written to use the Cronus sample company from the US version of Business Central. You might need to make adjustments to the steps if you use the sample company from your country or region.

Scenario

You've created an extension that contains an API query object. Now, you're ready to publish and install this extension on your Business Central sandbox. To do that, follow these steps.

Steps

  1. In Visual Studio Code, go to the Command Pallet and select the option: AL: Publish without debugging.

  2. Wait until the extension is published. When it's done, your browser should automatically open and connect to your sandbox in Business Central.

  3. In Business Central, open the Extension Management page, to verify that your extension was successfully published and installed.
