Exercise - Create an online store

You are working in the new e-Commerce department of Adventure Works, and you are responsible for creating an online presence for the established retailer.

Create an online channel in Commerce Headquarters.

  1. In the USRT company, go to Retail and Commerce > Channels > Online stores and select New to start creating a new online store.
  2. In the Name field, enter Adventure Works.
  3. In the Legal entity field, select USRT.
  4. In the Warehouse field, select DC-CENTRAL.
  5. In the Store time zone field, select your own time zone.
  6. In the Default customer field, select 100002.
  7. In the Customer address book field, select USRTCentrl.
  8. In the Email notification profile field, select ENProfile.
  9. Select Save.
  10. Expand the Payment accounts tab on the newly created online store.
  11. Select Add to add a payment connector.
  12. In the Gateway Environment field, enter Test.
  13. Enter the information from your Adyen test account in the Merchant account ID and Cloud API Key fields.
  14. Set the Terminal Architecture field to Cloud.
  15. Set Allow saving payment information in the e-Commerce field to True.
  16. Select Save.
  17. Select Set up in the Action Pane, and then select Fulfillment group assignment.
  18. Select New on the newly opened screen.
  19. Set All stores in the Fulfillment group field.
  20. Select Save.
  21. Select Payment methods from the Action Pane.
  22. Select New to add a new payment method to the online store.
  23. Select 3 in the Payment method field.
  24. Enter CreditCard in the Terms of payment field on the General tab.
  25. Enter Pay card in the Operation name field.
  26. Enter 112120 in the Account number field on the Posting tab.
  27. Enter 618150 in the Difference account field.
  28. Enter 618140 in the Big difference account field.
  29. Select Card setup at the top of the screen.
  30. Select New to add a new card type.
  31. Enter VISA in the Card type name field.
  32. Enter VISA in the Card ID field.
  33. Select Save.
  34. Go to Retail and Commerce > Channel setup > Organization hierarchies.
  35. Select the Retail Store by Business Unit hierarchy and select View at the top of the page.
  36. Select Edit, and then select the Fashion hierarchy by selecting the ellipsis ().
  37. Select Insert and then select Retail channel.
  38. Select Save and then enter the yesterday's date.
  39. Go to Retail and Commerce > Channel setup > Modes of delivery.
  40. Search for and select mode of delivery 60-Customer pickup.
  41. Go to the Retail channels tab and select Add line.
  42. In the Choose organization nodes page, select the Adventure Works online store that you created in steps 1-9, and then add it to the Selected organization nodes list.
  43. Select OK.
  44. Go to Retail and Commerce > Retail and Commerce IT > Process delivery modes.
  45. Select OK on the Process delivery modes page that opens.
  46. Go to Retail and Commerce > Headquarters setup > Commerce scheduler > Channel database.
  47. Select the Scale unit channel database (not the Default) and then select Edit.
  48. Select Add on the Retail channel tab to add the online store to the channel database.
  49. Select the Adventure Works online store to add to the channel database.
  50. Select Yes on the warning message that opens stating, Mapping a new Retail channel to the Channel database will cause…
  51. Select Full data sync at the top of the page.
  52. In the Select a distribution schedule drop-down list that opens, select 9999.
  53. Select OK.
