Exercise – Deploy a Commerce Cloud Scale Unit

The Commerce developer, has been asked to deploy a new Commerce Cloud Scale Unit for a company.

Before you begin

  • You will need Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services access.
  • Deploy a Tier-2 sandbox or production environment that has application version 8.1.2.x or later.

To deploy a Commerce Cloud Scale Unit, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Lifecycle Services with your credentials.
  2. From All projects, select your project.
  3. Select your environment under the Environments section.
  4. From the Environment details page, select Manage.
  5. Go to the Commerce Deployment Center page and select Initialize.
  6. In Region, enter East US.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Select Channel - EAST-US-1 to set up the channel for that region.
