Design for users

Completed

User-focused design is the process of designing a system with your users in mind, basing it on what they want or need to do their job. Ideally, they shouldn't need to change their approaches because of the system; however, that ideal must be balanced with how Dynamics 365 works. To set up and design a system based on what the user needs to accomplish, how they work, and their priorities, you'll need to involve them in the tailoring process. Otherwise, you'll find it challenging to set up Dynamics 365 for them.

The primary purpose of designing for users is to create a system that is adjusted to them. For example, you'll need to determine if they're all working remotely or are in the office at a desk. If you're working with a company where 90 percent of its users are blind, then that factor will have a significant impact on how you build their system. Make sure that you always have accessibility and inclusion in mind when designing any kind of system.

Dynamics 365 isn't a finished solution that you can give to your customers without customizations. You can't provide your customers with an out-of-the-box version of Dynamics 365 without altering it and your solution based on their needs. For example, consider the language that your users speak. If you're designing a solution that spans four different languages, it will be more complex than having one solution in one language.

Now that you've asked the users pertinent questions, you'll need to work on translating those questions into designs.
