Microsoft 365/Modern Workplace

Completed

Several Microsoft 365 products have an out-of-the-box connector that's built into Dynamics 365 customer engagement (on-premises) products. It's important to keep these Modern Workplace products in mind as many of the customers interested in using Business Applications will first be Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and/or One Drive and will want those products integrated with their Dynamics 365 applications.

  • Dynamics 365 for Outlook - Use the Dynamics 365 app for Outlook and tap into the power of Dynamics 365 apps while using Outlook on your desktop, web, or mobile device. You can view information about an email or appointment, or you can link it to any record in your app.

  • Microsoft Teams - Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Teams integration enables anyone in an organization to view and collaborate on Dynamics 365 records, from within the flow of work with Teams. You can integrate Teams with Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys, and Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation.

  • SharePoint - Store and manage documents within a Microsoft Dataverse model-driven or customer engagement app. Documents are stored in the context of a record on a SharePoint server, and they're implemented within the SharePoint infrastructure to share, manage, and collaborate efficiently. Because SharePoint stores documents on a SharePoint server, users who aren't running the app can directly access documents on the SharePoint server, if users have the appropriate permissions.
