Work with demo data


How different organizations will use the capabilities of Customer Insights might vary from industry to industry. For example, retail organizations might drive customer experiences by identifying what their customers are buying as well as how they're buying products. When combined with a unified customer profile from their different data sources, they can create more personalized customer experiences. They can identify loyalty programs they could participate in or provide them with targeted advertising based on what they buy. A healthcare company might drive experiences by bringing in medical and patient data from all their data sources into a single view. Once they have that data, they can provide personalized suggestions about lifestyle changes based on their medical data. They can even track patient vitals so that doctors have a more accurate picture of the patient when they visit them.

Dynamics 365 Customer Insights provides flexible tools that can be easily used and tailored across multiple industries. These tools ensure that ensure that no matter what type of business you are, Customer Insights can work for you.

After you've purchased a license for Customer Insights, you can access your instance by going to When you launch the application for the first time, you'll be able to configure the demo data to display data based on different industries. For example, if you want an example of using Customer Insights for manufacturing, you can select manufacturing. Once selected, all the different tools in Customer Insights will be configured for manufacturing.

If you want to see example across different industries, you can easily switch the industry demo data as needed.
