Exercise - Create a location for the north warehouse
Warehouse management exercises use a sandbox demo company that you need to set up to complete these exercises. The steps to set up the needed sandbox environment and demo company are documented in the Set up a demo company with complete sample data unit of this module.
Scenario
CRONUS is expanding and has opened a new warehouse in Detroit. You have been asked to set up the warehouse in Business Central. Because of its size, the warehouse should use directed put-away and pick.
Use the following information to set up the location:
Code - NORTH
Address - 9860 Atwater St, Detroit, MI 48207
Steps
Select the Search for page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter locations, and then select the related link.
Select New.
In the Code field, enter NORTH.
In the Name field, enter NORTH Warehouse.
Expand the Address & Contact FastTab.
In the Address field, enter 9860 Atwater St.
In the City field, enter Detroit.
In the State field, enter MI.
In the Zip Code field, enter 48207.
In the Country/Region Code field, enter US.
Expand the Warehouse FastTab.
Select the Bin Mandatory field.
Select the Directed Put-away and Pick field.
Close the location card.
