MB-920: Module 1 Explore the core capabilities of Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps
Module 1 Overview
As you begin to teach this module, get familiar with what the students will learn during the module. In this module, students will learn the general capabilities the finance and operations apps share, including built-in reporting and integration with other Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, and Teams.
This module consists of two lessons:
- Lesson 1 – Get introduced to the finance and operations apps
- Lesson 2 – Create reports and integrate finance and operations apps
Module 1 Tips and Tricks
- Provide an overview of the finance and operations apps within Dynamics 365
- Explain potential use cases for finance and operations apps
- Describe the built-in reporting and integration capabilities with Microsoft products such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power BI, and Microsoft Teams
- Provide definitions for each acronym
- Tie theoretical concepts back to real-world concepts to drive engagement. For example, when discussing finance and operations apps, ask your class to suggest which app would be applicable in a fictional organization
- Use labs so your class can gain hands-on familiarity with the software
