In the esports category is a variety of additional types of competitive categories, such as Speedruns and the Challenge Series. This module focuses on the Build Battle maps category.

These are examples of Build Battle maps found in this category:

  • Make & Model: Splat Racers
  • Make & Model: Binary Builders
  • Make & Model: Space Race
  • Build Battle: Creative Coliseum

Each of these maps contains features that allow for:

  • Game and team management tools for the world host
  • An adjustable in-game timer
  • Teams build plates that provide a specific area for each team to build
  • A shared world for teams and spectators to observe what all teams are creating.
  • Controls for judging

Additionally, there are two practice maps that don't have much of the functionality of the competitive maps but do allow for multiple teams, clubs, or classes to practice their builds on build plates and with a timer:

The following units utilize the Make & Model: Splat Racers world to demonstrate the functionality of the Build Battle experience. You can create a new instance of the map by selecting it from the library and choosing Create World.

You're now ready to learn how to utilize the functionality of a Build Battle map.
