Integrate finance and operations apps with enterprise applications

Completed

Like other Microsoft products, Microsoft 365 can integrate directly with finance and operations apps. In Microsoft Excel, this is enabled through the Data Connector add-in.

To connect to finance and operations apps by using the Data Connector add-in for Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Select Add server information on the add-in panel.
  2. Enter the base URL for your finance and operations apps in the Server URL field.
  3. Select OK and then Yes.
  4. Sign in to your user account.
  5. From any form in finance and operations apps, select the Microsoft Office icon in the Action Pane.
  6. In the Open in Excel section of the drop-down list, select the table that you want to open in Excel.
  7. When the download completes, use the Enable Editing button to enable the data to load.

When the data has loaded, the Data Connector offers multiple options for interacting with the data, including the following:

  • New - Add a record (row) to the table.
  • Refresh - Repopulate the table with the most recent data from finance and operations apps.
  • Publish - Save your changes to finance and operations apps.
