We wanted to work with a collection of data about planets. Our application needed the ability to determine where items were in relation to others and display the results. We create this ability by using a list.

Python lists are an important tool when you're working with data. You've seen how to create, slice, join, and sort lists. You'll use these skills in almost every Python application that you create.

In this module, you learned how to:

  • Identify when to use a list.
  • Create a list.
  • Access a particular item in a list by using indexes.
  • Push items to the end of a list.
  • Sort and slice a list.
