In this module, you reviewed many of the features of an Azure Virtual WAN. Virtual WAN provides a unified framework for connecting, routing, and securing your network traffic. It's deployed in a well-understood hub-and-spoke architecture. This model supports deploying your network, redesigning it, scaling it, or just simplifying it. Here are some more reasons to use Virtual WAN:

  • Customers use Microsoft global WAN with no contracts.
  • Microsoft owns and runs one of the largest backbone networks in the world, connecting their datacenters and customers.
  • Any-to-any connectivity encompasses ExpressRoute, site-to-site and point-to-site VPN, and SD-WAN.
  • Virtual WAN provides the most optimal way to connect to Azure.
  • Azure Virtual WAN is global, with no geographic boundaries.
