Instead, this learning series will provide valuable information about the Dynamics 365 suite of apps to help you make the best decision for your business.

Understanding the fundamentals of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform is necessary to your success as a Business Applications professional. The learning in this module is included in your prerequisites, but it's important enough to share it again. At this time, you don't need to have reviewed all the following training. Make sure that you set aside time to review one of the following training offerings and then complete that learning in a parallel path to this training.

The fundamental certification paths are Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Power Platform Fundamentals. You don't need to take an exam yet. However, you do need to understand the business value of Dynamics 365. The following links will provide details for the certification. Review the study guides, review the sample questions, and then become familiar with Dynamics 365.

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM) - This exam covers the customer engagement features and capabilities of Dynamics 365 apps. Candidates of this exam should have a fundamental understanding of customer engagement principles, business operations, and general computer skills.

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP) - This exam covers the features and capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, and other finance and operations apps. Candidates of this exam should have general technical knowledge. They should also have a fundamental understanding of financial principles and business operations.

  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals - This exam measures your ability to describe the business value of Power Platform; identify the core components of Power Platform; demonstrate the capabilities of Power BI; describe the capabilities of Power Apps; demonstrate the capabilities of Power Automate; and demonstrate the business value of Power Virtual Agents.

Currently, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central doesn't have a certification for fundamentals.
