Exercise - Create a special price for a customer

This exercise is written to use the Cronus sample company from the US version of Business Central. You might need to make changes to the steps if you use the sample company from your country or region.

Scenario

As part of a long-term marketing strategy, you, as the sales manager, decided that the company's high-performing wholesale customers will be granted, as a group, a favorable price of 600.00 LCY when they buy item 1896-S in April 2019.

Tasks

  1. Create the Customer Price Group.

  2. Set up the special price for the new Customer Price Group.

Steps - Create the Customer Price Group

  1. Choose the Search for Page icon in the top-right corner of the page, enter customer price groups, and select the related link.

  2. Choose New.

  3. In the Code field, enter "PERFORM".

  4. In the Description field, enter "High performers".

  5. Make sure that both the Allow Line Disc. and Allow Invoice Disc. options are selected.

Steps - Set up the special price for the new Customer Price Group

  1. From the PERFORM customer price group, choose Related, Cust. Price Group and then Sales Prices.

  2. In the Sales Code field, enter "PERFORM".

  3. In the Item No. field, enter "1896-S".

  4. In the Unit Price field, type "600".

  5. Set the Starting Date field to Jan 1, 2019.

  6. Set the Ending Date field to April 30, 2019.

  7. Close the pages.
