Cluster picking

Completed

Clusters organize the picking work for your warehouse worker. Warehouse workers can assign work orders to a cluster after they've been released to the warehouse by using a mobile device. If the system assigns the work order to a cluster, the warehouse worker must use cluster picking to perform the picking work.

Enable cluster picking

Before you can start cluster picking, you need to set up cluster profiles, work templates, location directives, mobile device menu items, and warehouse management parameters. Cluster profiles indicate whether cluster IDs should be automatically generated, when to break clusters, and how to order and check the picking work. Work templates define the picking process for cluster picking, and location directives specify where the items should be picked from and where to put them. By setting up mobile device menu items and warehouse management parameters, you're enabling the use of existing work and specifying the number sequence to use to generate identifiers for clusters.

Set up cluster profiles

After you successfully enable the previous features, you can set up a cluster profile. You can use cluster profiles to start a cluster and assign the work to a warehouse worker to begin cluster picking. Go to Warehouse management > Setup > Mobile device > Cluster profiles to create a cluster profile. After enabling the setup that you want, go to the Cluster sorting FastTab to define the order that the sorting criteria should be processed in.
