Assign a put-away template to an item

With some items, you might want to use a put-away template other than the one on the location card. For example, for an item with no fixed bins, you can use a put-away template that only searches for floating bins.

You can assign a put-away template to an item, as follows:

  1. Select the Search for page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter items, and then select the related link.

  2. Open the item card for which you want to set up the put-away template.

  3. Expand the Warehouse FastTab.

  4. In the Put-away Template Code field, select the put-away template that you want to use for this item.

  5. Close the item card.

You can also assign a put-away template to a stockkeeping unit. You can use different put-away templates for the same item in different locations.

You can assign a put-away template to an item, as follows:

  1. Select the Search for page icon in the upper-right corner of the page, enter stockkeeping units, and then select the related link.

  2. Open the stockkeeping unit card for which you want to set up the put-away template.

  3. Expand the Warehouse FastTab.

  4. In the Put-away Template Code field, select the put-away template that you want to use for this stockkeeping unit.

  5. Close the stockkeeping unit card.
