Exercise - Create a product readiness policy
During the setup of engineering products, configuring the product readiness policies is an important step that provides a checklist to ensure that all required master data has been specified for a product before it can be used in transactions.
In this exercise, you'll configure a product readiness policy.
You need sign in to the engineering company DEMF in the standard Supply Chain Management demo dataset.
Go to Engineering change management > Setup > Product readiness policies.
Select New.
Enter the Name of the policy as Cabinets.
Enter the Description of the policy as Cabinets.
Select Item in the Product type field.
On the Readiness control FastTab, select Add check.
Select the following options:
Cost prices
BOM
Engineering version route
Select OK.
On the Readiness control FastTab, select Add existing questionnaire.
In the Name field, enter Product checklist.
In the Description field, enter Product checklist.
In the Company field, select USMF.
In the Owner field, select Julia Funderburk.
In the Questionnaire field, select ProdList.
Close the page.
