Import Shopify customers in bulk

When your Shopify online stores contain customer information that you want to import in Business Central, you'll first need to set up the Shopify shop card in Business Central as follows:

  1. In the Customer Import from Shopify field, select All Customers.

  2. Select an option in the Customer Mapping Type field if your Business Central environment already contains customers that aren't yet mapped to Shopify customers.

  3. If you want to update and map existing customers, enable the Shopify Can Update Customers field.

  4. Enable the Auto Create Unknown Customers field.

If you sell to customers in multiple countries, make sure that you have the required Shopify customer templates.

To import Shopify customers in bulk, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Search for Page icon, enter shopify shops and then select the related link.

  2. Open the Shopify Shop Card page for the shop for which you want to sync customers.

  3. Select Synchronization > Sync Customers.

Alternatively, you can also use the Start Customer Sync action on the Shopify Customers window, or you can search for the Shopify Sync Customers batch job.

This process will start the job queue to sync customers from Shopify. After the bulk import, you can set the Customer Import from Shopify field on the Shopify shop card to With Order Import.
