Upgrade from AX 2012
Microsoft supports upgrades from AX 2012 R2 and R3, to finance and operations. All tools to upgrade are generally available. You will have a Lifecycle Services upgrade methodology available to you, to help you through the process.
The upgrade procedure is divided into three phases:
- Analyze - Estimate and analyze upgrade tasks, fit/gap analysis, create a project plan
- Execute - AX 2012 database preparation, code upgrade, data upgrade
- Validate - Upgrade validation, functional test pass, cutover testing
