A named, uniquely identified collection of high-frequency counters (IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounter). This is the common representation used for both counter groups and counter sets; the two differ in how they are produced and what they are used for, not in their representation. As a collection, member counters are exposed through the inherited IPixCollection methods, alongside an id, name, and description.
- Counter group: a logical grouping returned by IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounters::GetCounterGroups. Groups partition counters available on the current GPU into user-friendly buckets, making related counters easier to browse and discover. Groups are an organizational/discovery aid rather than a unit of data collection that can be passed into IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounters::CollectCounterData.
- Counter set: a curated selection returned by IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounters::GetGpuCounterSets, or one built by the user via IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounters::CreateGpuCounterSet. A set groups counters that are useful to collect together for performance analysis, and its counters may be drawn from several different groups. Sets are the unit passed to IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounters::CollectCounterData. The counters in a single set are not guaranteed to all be collected in the same playback pass (see the batches returned by IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounterData).
