IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounters::CreateGpuCounterSet method

Create a user-defined counter set from an arbitrary list of counters. The resulting counter set can be passed to CollectCounterData, allowing data collection for a custom selection of counters rather than being limited to the curated sets returned by GetGpuCounterSets. Counters may be drawn from any counter group.

Syntax

HRESULT CreateGpuCounterSet(
    UINT64 counterCount,
    IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounter *const * counters,
    LPCWSTR name,
    LPCWSTR description,
    PIX_GPU_COUNTER_SET_COMBINER combiner,
    REFIID riid,
    void ** counterSet);

Parameters

counterCount [in]

The number of counters in the counters array.

counters [in]

Pointer to an array of counters (IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounter*) to include in the set. The counters can be obtained from GetCounters or GetCounterGroups.

name [in]

(Optional) The name to assign to the new counter set. Pass nullptr if not required.

description [in]

(Optional) The description to assign to the new counter set. Pass nullptr if not required.

combiner [in]

How the counters in the set are combined when visualized, such as overlaid or stacked.

riid [in]

The interface IID. Expected: IPixGpuCaptureHighFrequencyCounterCollection

counterSet [out]

The pointer to the returned counter set.

Returns

S_OK on success, otherwise an error code.
