Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum
Regarding your issue, many Windows features rely on the correct system date. When the date is set far in the past, files that were created or modified in recent years appear to be “from the future,” which can cause Windows to report errors such as files not being available or media not loading.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Disable "Auto-Sync" Correctly
- Open Settings
- Go to Time & language > Date & time.
- Toggle Set time automatically to Off.
- Toggle Set time zone automatically to Off.
- The "Offline" Trick
- Disconnect your Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Once offline, click Change next to "Set the date and time manually."
- Change it to 2010.
-
- Note: You can now run local files or old software, but web-based apps (YouTube, Spotify, Netflix) will stay broken because their security keys cannot exist in 2010.
- Clear the "Time Cache"
- In the Date & time menu, toggle Set time automatically back to On.
- Scroll down to Additional settings and click the Sync now button.
-
- If it fails, restart your PC. This clears the temporary SSL cache that was holding onto the 2010 data.
Hopefully it will help work with your issue and if you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
