A specific functionality or enhancement provided by Windows Copilot
Hi William Watson,
I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after upgrading your subscription and still not being able to create images in Copilot.
To help narrow this down, could you please confirm a few details?
- Are you using Copilot from the Windows Copilot app, Microsoft Edge/browser, or the Microsoft 365 Copilot app?
- What is the exact message shown when Copilot says the image is blocked?
- Does this happen with every image request, or only with one specific prompt/image?
- Which subscription did you upgrade to, such as Copilot Pro, Microsoft 365 Personal/Family/Premium, or Microsoft 365 Copilot for work/school?
- Are you signed in with the same Microsoft account that shows the upgraded subscription as active?
- Are you signed in with more than one Microsoft account on the same browser or device?
In the meantime, please try these checks:
- Sign out of Copilot, close the app or browser completely, then sign back in using the same account that has the upgraded subscription.
- Test with a very simple image prompt to see if it works.
- Try creating the image from Copilot on the web instead of the Windows Copilot app, to check whether the issue is specific to the app.
- If you are using the Windows Copilot app, update Windows and Microsoft Store apps, then restart the device and test again.
- If multiple Microsoft accounts are signed in, temporarily sign out of the other accounts and keep only the subscribed account signed in.
- If this is a work or school account, please check with your Microsoft 365 admin to confirm that image generation or Copilot access has not been restricted by organization settings.
While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
