    Hello Muriel Boyer,

I understand that Outlook 2019 will not let you reset the email password and displays a message asking you to wait 24 hours.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your account or remove a temporary account restriction.

Outlook 2019 does not reset the mailbox password directly. The password must first be changed through the email provider, such as Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, or your internet provider. See Change or update your email password in Outlook for Windows | Microsoft Support

For now, stop all password-reset and verification attempts for a full 24 hours from the most recent attempt. Repeated attempts may restart the temporary waiting period. After 24 hours, try the reset once through your email provider’s website. If this is an Outlook.com or Hotmail account, use the Microsoft account password reset page.

Once the password has been changed successfully, reopen Outlook 2019 and enter the new password when prompted.

If the message remains, please confirm whether the account is Outlook.com/Hotmail, Gmail/Yahoo, or another provider, and provide the exact 24-hour message without posting the full email address.
