Parameters
A DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnsModeEventArgs that contains the event data.
Exceptions
The value of the PreviousModes property of e
is null
.
The number of entries in the array returned by the PreviousModes property of e
is not equal to the number of columns in the control.
Remarks
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.
The OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors
When overriding OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged(DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnsModeEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class' OnAutoSizeColumnsModeChanged(DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnsModeEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
