Directory.GetParent(String) Método

Definición

String

Ruta de acceso para la cual se va a recuperar el directorio principal.

Devoluciones

El directorio principal o null si path es el directorio raíz, incluida la raíz de un servidor UNC o un nombre de uso compartido.

Excepciones

El directorio especificado por path es de solo lectura.

Versiones de .NET Framework y .NET Core anteriores a 2.1: path es una cadena de longitud cero, contiene solo espacios en blanco o contiene uno o varios caracteres no válidos. Puede consultar los caracteres no válidos con el método GetInvalidPathChars().

path es null.

Comentarios

El path parámetro puede especificar información de ruta de acceso relativa o absoluta. La información de ruta de acceso relativa se interpreta como relativa al directorio de trabajo actual. Para obtener el directorio de trabajo actual, consulte GetCurrentDirectory.

Los espacios finales se quitan del final del path parámetro antes de obtener el directorio.

La cadena devuelta por este método consta de todos los caracteres de la ruta de acceso hasta la última DirectorySeparatorChar o AltDirectorySeparatorChar. Por ejemplo, pasar la ruta de acceso "C:\Directory\SubDirectory\test.txt" a GetParent devuelve "C:\Directory\SubDirectory". Pasar "C:\Directory\SubDirectory" devuelve "C:\Directory". Sin embargo, al pasar "C:\Directory\SubDirectory\" se devuelve "C:\Directory\SubDirectory", porque el separador de directorio final es posterior a "SubDirectory".

La distinción entre mayúsculas y minúsculas del path parámetro corresponde a la del sistema de archivos en el que se ejecuta el código. Por ejemplo, no distingue mayúsculas de minúsculas en NTFS (el sistema de archivos de Windows predeterminado) y distingue mayúsculas de minúsculas en sistemas de archivos Linux.
