Create sales release order (form)

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Sales orders > Sales agreements. On the Action Pane, click the Sales agreement tab, and then click Release order.
Use this form to release a sales order from a sales agreement. You can only use this form to release from sales agreement lines if a quantity is specified on the lines.
Important
In the upper section of this form, you can prepare the header of the release order. If the sales agreement has commitments of the quantity type, you can prepare the lines for the release order in the lower section of this form. If the sales agreement has commitments of the value type, you cannot enter value types of order lines until you create the release order.

Requested receipt date |
The date that the customer originally requested to receive the order. |

Requested ship date |
The date that the selling organization must ship the item to meet the customer's requested receipt date. |

Delivery date control |
Select the method that you want to use to calculate possible shipping and receipt dates. If you select ATP + Issue margin, the shipping date equals the available-to-promise (ATP) date plus the issue margin. The issue margin is the time that is required to prepare the items for shipment. |

Mode of delivery |
Select the mode of delivery. Note Delivery modes are set up in the Modes of delivery form. |
|
Time zone |
The time zone of the shipping location. |

Site |
The site where the products that were ordered are picked. If the site is set up as a mandatory inventory dimension in the Inventory management area, you must specify a site before you can submit the order lines. Note The site that you select in the header section is copied to the lines. |

Warehouse |
The warehouse where the products that were ordered are picked. If the warehouse is set up as a mandatory inventory dimension in the Inventory management area, you must specify a warehouse before you can submit the order lines. Note The warehouse that you select in the header section is copied to the lines. |

Customer requisition |
Enter the customer's purchase order number.
You can print the purchase order number on sales order confirmations, quotations, packing slips, and invoices. |

Customer reference |
Enter the customer's reference for the current order. The customer reference is the purchase order number from the customer's purchasing system or other system.
You can print the customer reference on sales order confirmations, quotations, packing slips, and invoices. You can also use the customer reference as a criterion when you limit queries and submit print jobs. |

Contact |
Select a contact person for the customer. Customer contacts are defined in the All contacts listpage in the Sales and marketing area. |
|
Delivery name |
The name of the company or organization that the ordered products are delivered to. The delivery name is printed on the sales order confirmation. If you copied customer information to the sales agreement when you selected the customer, the field is prepopulated. Note The delivery name is derived from the delivery name of the customer address that you enter in the Customers form. |

Delivery address |
Select a delivery address. Note If the field is already populated with an address ID, you can add a new delivery address or modify the existing delivery address. |

Address |
A summary of the address information for the delivery address that you selected in the Delivery address field. |
|
Item number |
The unique identifier of the item that you want to release. |
|
Product name |
A description of the item. |
|
Sales quantity |
Enter the sales quantity for the current transaction. If a maximum sales quantity is specified on the sales agreement line that you are ordering from, you cannot exceed the quantity in the Remaining field. |

Unit |
The unit of measure that is selected for the product on the sales agreement line that you are ordering from. |
|
Configuration |
The configuration of the item. If this field is mandatory, you must specify a configuration before you can submit the order line. Note Mandatory fields are set in the Product information management area. |

Size |
The size of the item. If this field is mandatory, you must specify a size before you can submit the order line. Note Mandatory fields are set in the Product information management area. |

Color |
The color of the item. If this field is mandatory, you must specify a color before you can submit the order line. Note Mandatory fields are set in the Product information management area. |
