(IND) Journal lines for fees on projects (modified form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2
Click Project management and accounting > Journals > Fee. Select a journal, or click New. On the menu bar, click Lines.
Use this form to enter fee transactions. Fee transactions are applied when costs cannot be directly matched with the associated revenue.
For example, if the course fees paid by participants in a course cannot be matched directly with the hours registered by the instructor, they can be entered as fee transactions.
The transaction fee can only be used for Time and material projects, and is used to invoice a fixed fee for a short-term project.
To post a revenue fee for a long-term Fixed-price project, use the on-account transaction for external invoicing and the estimate system to create internal fees.
