La propiedad UpdateMode se configura como Always.

Se Update() llama al método durante o después del evento de Render(HtmlTextWriter) la página.
Ejemplos
En el ejemplo siguiente se usa el Update método para actualizar el contenido de un UpdatePanel control cuando han transcurrido más de cinco segundos desde la última actualización.

Comentarios
Si la página está habilitada para la representación parcial de páginas, al invocar el Update método , el UpdatePanel contenido del control se actualiza en el explorador. Llame al Update método si tiene código de servidor que debe ejecutarse para determinar si se debe actualizar un UpdatePanel control. Si tiene previsto usar el Update método , establezca la UpdateMode propiedad Conditionalen . Si desea que la decisión de actualizar el panel en la lógica del servidor, asegúrese de que la ChildrenAsTriggers propiedad es false y que no se definen desencadenadores explícitos para el panel.
En un escenario de desarrollo de página típico, si define desencadenadores o si la ChildrenAsTriggers propiedad es true para el UpdatePanel control, se Update llama automáticamente al método durante el ciclo de vida de la página.
Si la ContentTemplate propiedad no está definida para el UpdatePanel control, no se producirá ninguna actualización del panel.
