The following code example demonstrates how to use the Validate method. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the IntegerValidator class.

try
{
    integerValidator.Validate(valuetoValidate);
    Console.WriteLine("Validated.");
}
catch (ArgumentException e)
{
    Console.WriteLine("Failed validation.  Message: {0}", e.Message.ToString());
}
Console.Write("Validating integer value of {0}:  ", valueToValidate)
Try
    validator.Validate(valueToValidate)
    Console.WriteLine("Validated.")
Catch e As ArgumentException
    Console.WriteLine("Failed validation.  Message: {0}", e.Message.ToString())
End Try

Remarks

An IntegerValidator object contains the rules necessary to validate an integer object. The rules are established when an instance of the IntegerValidator class is created. The integer object to validate is passed as a parameter of the Validate method.
