En el ejemplo siguiente se muestra cómo usar la CurrentMode propiedad para determinar si el FormView control está en modo de edición, inserción o solo lectura. Si el usuario intenta navegar a otro registro mientras el FormView control está en edición más, se cancela la operación de paginación.

Utilice la CurrentMode propiedad para determinar si el FormView control está en modo de edición, inserción o solo lectura. En la tabla siguiente se enumeran los distintos valores de modo.

Normalmente, el FormView control establece este valor automáticamente cuando se hace clic en el botón de comando Nuevo, Actualizar, Insertar, Eliminar o Cancelar. Cuando el control cambia los FormView modos en respuesta a una acción, se generan los eventos de la tabla siguiente. Esto le permite crear un controlador de eventos personalizado que realice la rutina adecuada cuando se produzca el evento.
