Sales Reservation Avail. (report)

The Sales Reservation Avail. report shows the availability of items for shipment on sales documents.

Note

You must use the reservations feature for the report to show data.

You determine whether the report indicates the status of each document or of each sales line.

When you print (not just preview) the report, you can also update the quantity that is available for shipment in the Qty. to Ship field on the sales lines. Then you can use the report to determine which documents to post.

The report also includes the ability to specify the amounts to ship.

Note

This report isn't available for advanced warehouse functionality.

Use cases

Sales representatives use the report to:

  • Ensure that inventory reservations are accurate and up-to-date for sales orders.
  • Identify which items are or aren't available for shipment and provide accurate delivery estimates to customers.
  • Specify the amounts to ship, and determine which sales orders you can fulfill based on inventory availability.

Sales managers use the report to:

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that there's sufficient stock available to fulfill sales orders.
  • Identify discrepancies between inventory reservations and actual stock levels to avoid over-committing inventory.
  • Make informed decisions about which sales orders to prioritize based on inventory availability.

Warehouse managers use the report to:

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that there's sufficient stock available to fulfill sales orders.
  • Specify the amounts to ship, and determine which sales orders you can fulfill based on inventory availability.
  • Ensure that inventory reservations are accurate and up-to-date for sales orders to avoid over-committing inventory.
