La función _fpreset reinicializa el paquete matemático de punto flotante. _fpreset a menudo se usa con signal, systemo las _exec funciones o _spawn . Si un programa intercepta las señales de error de punto flotante (SIGFPE) con signal, puede recuperar de forma segura errores de punto flotante mediante la invocación de _fpreset y el uso de longjmp.
Esta función está en desuso cuando se compila con /clr (Common Language Runtime Compilation) porque Common Language Runtime solo admite la precisión de punto flotante predeterminada.
