With the .NET Framework 3.0 CardSpace bits getting more stable, its time to take a poke at the technology. After the great success of our teams coordination of the launch of https://www.netfx3.com we recently setup a CardSpace sandbox at https://sandbox.netfx3.com/ .
So what have we done? Well like most sites on the web today, this site provides the ability to login using a username and password (nothing new). However, this site has been also been customized to also use Windows CardSpace for authentication. On the Sandbox site you can:
- - Create a user account using a username and password or using a self-issued Windows CardSpace Information Card
- - Link one or more Information Cards with your user account
- - Sign-in to the site using your username and password or an Windows CardSpace Information Card that you have linked with your account
For anyone who installs IE7 Beta 3 and the July CTP of the .NET Framework 3.0 they will be able to show a simple demo to their colleges?
Very cool.
