nullifzero function

Applies to: Databricks Runtime 16.0 and above

Returns NULL if expr is 0, or expr otherwise. This function is a synonym for if(expr = 0, null, expr).

Syntax

nullifzero(expr)

Arguments

• expr: A numeric expression or NULL.

Returns

The result type is the same as the type of expr.

Examples

> SELECT nullifzero(0);
 NULL

> SELECT nullifzero(NULL);
 NULL

> SELECT nullifzero(5);
 5
