Closing accounts (form)

Click General ledger > Periodic > Fiscal year close > Closing sheet. Click Closing accounts.
Use this form to perform the following year-end closing tasks for fiscal years:
Load current balances for the selected range of accounts for the closing sheet.
Modify the transfers to the selected account.
Print and post the closing sheet.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Buttons

Transfers |
Edit or view transfers to the selected ledger account. |
Load balances |
Transfer the current balances for the main accounts to the Closing sheet form. |
Post |
Post the transfers for the closing of the selected account. This includes adjustments. Note The transactions must balance before they can be posted. If an account does not balance, make sure that an offset account has been indicated for all transactions. |
Print the closing sheet. |
Fields

Description |

Main account |
The main account for posting. |
Trial balance |
The transferred balance from ledger accounts. |
Transfer |
The total of the transfers. |
Reconciled |
If this check box is selected, the account has been reconciled. |
Difference |
The difference between the trial balance amount, which includes the transfer amount, and the contribution of the account. |
Result |
The amount that the account contributes to the operating results. |
Balance |
The amount that the account contributes to the balance. |
Capital |
The amount that the account contributes to equity. |
Closing sheet |
The identifier of the selected closing sheet. |
