Speech Server Settings for Outbound Calling
This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.
To support outbound-calling applications, you must configure settings in Speech Server to reference the message queue containing the notification requests and to allow outbound calling for the trusted SIP peers handling the calls.
For more information about how to configure these settings, see:
- How to: Configure an Outbound-Calling Application to Use a Notification Message Queue
- How to: Allow Outbound Calling and Call Transfers for a SIP Peer
Note
If you are using a telephony interface manager (TIM), the TIM software must be configured with outbound channels to support outbound calling applications. By default, a TIM does not permit speech applications to place outbound calls. For information about configuring this setting, see the documentation from the TIM vendor.
