Using a shared folder even when the computer is turned off - Win 10

Hello,

I created a shared folder on the home network.

How can I make the folder remain visible to the other computers on the network, even when the computer from which I created the folder and shared it, is not on the network or turned off?

Hi ROZNadav,

On OneDrive on line, right click the folder, select hare, then click Copy Link to get the Share link.

Then send a link to that folder to the other PC's so they have access to the folder on OneDrive online

Hi ROZNadav,

If you are using OneDrive, the best option may be to create a folder on OneDrive online that all your PC's could access and that then would not depend on one PC with a shared folder stored on the PC being switched on to access a folder on that PC.

If you shared a folder on a PC, if that PC is not turned on, that folder will not be available to other devices on the network.

Do you have a NAS (network drive) that is attached to your network separately to the PC's on the network, or do you use OneDrive to sync your files?
