How to Install and Uninstall Global Resources

You use the Microsoft Commerce Server Installation Wizard to install and uninstall global resources such as Direct Mailer. Other global resources are created during the unpacking process.

After you install a global resource, you must unpack these resources for a site to use them. When you unpack an application, you set the global resource pointers for the site to the global resource, for example, Direct Mailer. For instructions about how to add and delete global resource pointers from a site, see How to Add a Global Resource Pointer to a Site and How to Delete a Resource from a Site.

For instructions about how to unpack a global resource, see How to Unpack a Site.
