This article lists features that are new or changed for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance version 10.0.36. This version has a build number of 10.0.1695 and is available on the following schedule:

When the parameter is turned on, the check number is validated to determine whether it exceeds the defined interval from last check number. Users can set up the check number interval. If the check number exceeds the defined interval from the last check number, the user must confirm before they proceed, to avoid manually entering the wrong check number. Users can generate and post customer and vendor payment journals directly from selected bank statement lines. The posted customer and vendor payment journals are automatically matched with the original bank statement lines. Cash and bank management Improved advanced bank reconciliation by enabling group conditions in reconciliation matching rules In advanced bank reconciliation, grouping conditions are available in the reconciliation matching rules setup, so that bank statement lines can be matched with bank documents in a many-to-many manner. Cash and bank management Automatic importing bank statement from a SharePoint folder This feature imports bank statement files from a SharePoint folder and lets users set up recurrence rules to periodically import the files. Feature management
Cash and bank management Bank foreign currency revaluation enhancements

Before this feature, the bank foreign currency revaluation process considered every financial dimension value when the gain or loss was calculated. This feature lets your organization select to use all or none of the financial dimensions when the gain or loss is calculated. In addition, this feature changes the calculation logic. The calculation first calculates the balance of the bank account, with either all financial dimensions or no financial dimensions. It then calculates the unrealized gain or loss per ledger account.

Important: This feature can't be disabled after it's been enabled.

General ledger Post foreign currency realized gains/losses for ledger settlements This feature posts foreign currency realized gains and realized losses for ledger settlements when the reporting currency values of the debits and credits differ. This feature also enhances the usability of the ledger settlement process by reducing the effort that's required to mark vouchers. Feature management
General ledger Financial tags for Sales order documents This feature adds Financial tags to the sales order, packing slip and customer invoice documents. Feature management
Credit and collections Collections coordinator workspace This workspace gives the collections coordinator (agent) a new timeline view of invoices, payments, activities and collection letters sent to a customer. A summary of a customer’s payment history, credit and overdue amounts provides more in-depth information helps collections coordinators research customer's history. Contact information directly on the workspace page allows users to start an email with one click or make a phone call to the customer or internal stakeholder on the customer account. Credit and collections Collections coordinator summary This feature displays an AI-generated summary and an option to create an AI-generated draft email on the collections coordinator workspace. The AI-generated summary includes information about a customer’s payment history, outstanding debt amount and sales. An AI-generated draft email, formatted like a reminder letter, allows the collections coordinator to quickly view and edit an email before sending to customers. Feature management

Feature enhancements included in this release

The following table lists the feature enhancements that are included in this release. Each of these enhancements provides an incremental improvement to an existing feature. Because they are only enhancements, they aren't listed in the release plan.

The enhanced behavior scans to check if the records are used in a transaction or on a setup page. The scan results shows what to clear (if possible) and try the delete action again.
Tax regulatory reporting Tax declaration model mapping This enhancement impacts all VAT declarations that use the Tax declaration model mapping: Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. The new version of the Tax declaration model mapping - 136.302 or higher, significantly improves performance and memory consumption of all dependent VAT declarations and covers more credit-note specific scenarios.
Data Management Job history cleanup By default, job history entries and related staging table data that are older than 90 days are automatically deleted.More details.
Revenue and expense deferrals Cost deferrals for stocked service items Stocked service items will now post with both consumption and revenue deferrals. Previously, only revenue deferrals were created for stocked service items.

Features turned on by default in this release

The following table lists the features that are turned on by default in version 10.0.36. Most features that have been turned on atomically can be turned off in Feature management. In the future, some features that have been turned on automatically might be removed from Feature management and will become mandatory. This change ensures that customers are using current functionality, so that as enhancements are added, they can build on the current functionality. Features will never be automatically enabled in less than one year, unless they are determined to be essential.

Removed and deprecated features

The Removed or deprecated features in Dynamics 365 Finance article describes features that have been removed or deprecated for Dynamics 365 Finance.

  • A removed feature is no longer available in the product.
  • A deprecated feature is not in active development and may be removed in a future update.

Before any feature is removed from the product, the deprecation notice will be announced in the Removed or deprecated features in Dynamics 365 Finance article 12 months prior to the removal.

For breaking changes that only affect compilation time, but are binary compatible with sandbox and production environments, the deprecation time will be less than 12 months. Typically, these are functional updates that need to be made to the compiler.
