TabControl.OnSelecting(TabControlCancelEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the Selecting event.

protected:
 virtual void OnSelecting(System::Windows::Forms::TabControlCancelEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnSelecting (System.Windows.Forms.TabControlCancelEventArgs e);
abstract member OnSelecting : System.Windows.Forms.TabControlCancelEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnSelecting : System.Windows.Forms.TabControlCancelEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnSelecting (e As TabControlCancelEventArgs)

Parameters

e
TabControlCancelEventArgs

A TabControlCancelEventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnSelecting method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnSelecting(TabControlCancelEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnSelecting(TabControlCancelEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
