A TextPattern vezérlőminta az osztálysal párhuzamosan támogatja az TextPatternRange alapszintű szöveges attribútumokat, tulajdonságokat és metódusokat. Az olyan vezérlőspecifikus funkciókhoz, amelyeket nem támogat TextPattern vagy TextPatternRangetámogat, az AutomationElement osztály metódusokat biztosít egy UI-automatizálás ügyfél számára a megfelelő natív objektummodell eléréséhez.
