Specifies what type of exchange the data exchange definition is used for.

You can select between three types:

  • Bank Statement Import

  • Payment Export

  • Payroll Import

  • Generic Import

    Use this type of data exchange definition, for example, to set up an import of electronic purchase invoices. For more information, see Electronic Documents and Other Data Exchange.

    When you use this data exchange definition, you must import the electronic document to an intermediate table from which the data is mapped to target tables. For more information, see the Use as Intermediate Table field in the Field Mapping window.
