How to: Update Currency Exchange Rates from a Service

You can use an external service to keep your for currency exchange rates up to date.

To update currency exchange rates, for example with the service provided by the European Central Bank, you must first set up the service. For more information, see How to: Set Up a Currency Exchange Rate Service.

Note

You only have to complete the task described in the “Select a currency exchange rate service” once.

Select a currency exchange rate service

1. In the Search box, enter Currencies, and then choose the related link.

2. On the Home tab, in the Exchange Rate Service group, choose Exchange Rate Services.

3. Select the line for the service that you want to use to update currency exchange rates, and then, on the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Enable.

   The Service URL check box is selected.

Update currency exchange rates from a service

1. In the Search box, enter Currencies, and then choose the related link.

2. On the Home tab, in the Exchange Rate Service group, choose Update Exchange Rates.

The value in the Exchange Rate field in the Currencies window is updated with the latest currency exchange rate.
