IsValid (clsServer)

  This feature will be removed in the next version of Microsoft SQL Server. Do not use this feature in new development work, and modify applications that currently use this feature as soon as possible.

The IsValid property of an object of ClassType clsServer indicates whether the server name is valid.

The validity check on the server object verifies that the server has a valid name.
