How to: Define a Linked Object (Dimensions)

You can use the Linked Object Wizard to link to or import dimensions from another database on the same server or from a database on a remote server. When you create links to dimensions, those dimensions are available through links just like non-linked dimensions. For more information, see Using Linked Objects in a Cube. You can access the Linked Object Wizard from Business Intelligence Development Studio.

To add a linked dimension from Business Intelligence Development Studio

• In Solution Explorer, right-click the Dimensions folder, and then click New Linked Dimension.
