How to: Disable or Reactivate an Alert (SQL Server Management Studio)

This topic describes how to disable or reactivate a Microsoft SQL Server Agent alert.

To disable or reactivate an alert

1. In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.

2. Expand SQL Server Agent.

3. Expand Alerts. Right-click an alert and select Enable or Disable.

   The Disable Alert or Enable Alert dialog box displays showing the status of the process.
